Giraffes mainly live in open dry and open areas and especially regions with small trees. Regions without trees and lots of grass is not ideal at all for giraffes as it requires them to get down into low and awkward positions which is very difficult for them to get into these positions and also leaves them very open to predators like lions. Giraffes mainly live in the African region. The population of giraffes has gone down a lot over the years mainly because of the climate change and hunters. During dry seasons giraffes will live around lakes and river for water mainly. But during the wet seasons they move into the deciduous lands. They stay active during the night and normally rest during the times it is hot and will usually only rest for about 2 hours a day.

HUMAN INTERACTION
The problem about the giraffes natural habitat is shrinking due to humans. They are building new roads and different types of things which is clearing out the giraffes from that region and this means that its giving the giraffes a lot less space about where they can live. This is very bad cause more likely than not things like this happening will require the giraffes to then return back to where they previously were and it would no have given all of the plants and trees the right amount of time to have grown back and leaves them with a lot less food.
